The Facets of Me

It's physically impossible for people to get a grasp of what creates the character of a person. A multitude of things shape the way we think, the way we act, and the way we present ourselves as people in our communities today. Our world is a judgmental one -- one that doesn't accept the quirks and uncanny parts of the every day person.

But everyone is unaware. So, incredibly, and blissfully unaware of how eclectic the strangers around them can be. We should not be fooled by the way they dress, or the way they speak. Everyone should be appreciated for every single detail that creates in them such intimacy and such intricacy.

No one should ever be judged for their past experiences, because you never know what emotions that kind of digging can bring to light. Some prefer to remain hidden in the darkness of a forgetful conscience. Others need to let it breathe in the open air every once in a while.

Everyone has dreams about their future, and of the things they hope to accomplish. As someone once said, although the name escapes me,

"If your dreams don't scare you, they aren't big enough."

But to me, every dream should scare you. A dream consists of something you aspire to do or be, something you aren't quite capable of yet. To think about venturing out of your comfort zone, even the slightest bit, should be enough to scare anyone.

And while our lives continue on, as we search for meaning and purpose, the great play plays on, and the notes and riffs that flow through our veins continue to lead us back to our beginnings. Back to the source of our authenticity.

Back home.

In this way, life is such a fickle game.

The question is, will you play it?
