The very first band that I ever listened to, the very first band that I ever bought the album for by choice (because I had a multitude of Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys CDs collected against my will). It's interesting looking back to see the music I listened to when I was in fourth grade, and how I had no idea what the racy and mature lyrics, or pleading and explicit messages meant. I was like, 6 or something. It helped unlock angst-y feelings much earlier in me that I'd later come to adopt as an awkward middle-schooler. It made me a little rough around the edges, and also played a hand in some of my questionable fashion choices. Ahh, the good old days.
